The Trauma Treatment Program provides intervention and treatment for individuals and families following life-threatening events such as occupational accidents, natural disasters, personal assault, and household fires.
State-of-the-art evaluations are conducted by experts in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and are available on an emergency basis within 72 hours of a traumatic event. We provide assessment of the psychological consequences of the life-threatening event and of any resulting disability. Also available are individualized treatment plans for Acute Stress Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and related problems such as substance abuse and depression. Therapy options include short-term treatment, group therapy, and medication. Grief counseling and support groups are offered for families and friends of trauma victims. We also provide critical incident stress debriefing and training services for professional organizations.
